Privacy Policy

How CodeRender collects, uses, shares, and protects your information.

Effective

§01

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how CodeRender ("CodeRender", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our services. It applies to:

  • The coderender.app web application — including the converter, dashboard, and account pages.
  • The CodeRender Figma plugin, when installed inside the Figma desktop or web client.

If you have questions about this policy, contact support@coderender.app before using the service.

§02

Information We Collect

We collect three categories of information:

Account information
Your email address, the credentials you use to sign in, sessions, and access keys associated with your account.
Service usage
Counts of conversions performed under your account, used for fair-use limits, billing where applicable, and abuse prevention. Standard service-operation records (such as basic request metadata required to operate and secure the service).
Conversion content
The HTML and CSS you submit for conversion. We process this content to produce the corresponding design output and return it to you.
Generation prompts
When you use our AI generation feature, the text prompt you enter describing the design you want. We process it to generate the corresponding design and return it to you.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. Please do not submit personal data, secrets, or other sensitive content as conversion or prompt input.

§03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide the conversion and AI design-generation services you requested.
  • Create and secure your account, sign you in, and maintain your session.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the service.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized use.
  • Communicate with you about your account or in response to support requests you initiate.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.
§04

How We Share Your Information

CodeRender uses a small number of named service providers to operate. We share information with these providers only to the extent necessary to provide the service:

  • Google Cloud — hosting for the conversion service.
  • Supabase — account and authentication services for the web application.
  • A third-party AI provider — generates a design from the prompt you submit when you use AI generation. The provider does not store your prompt or the generated design, or use them to train AI models.

We do not use advertising partners to track you across sites, and we do not sell your conversion content or prompts. We may share information when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CodeRender or others.

§05

Data Retention

CodeRender uses submitted conversion content and generation prompts to provide the conversion or design you requested. Account and service-operation records may be kept as long as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.

For specific privacy or retention requests — including deletion of your account or data — contact support@coderender.app.

§06

Your Rights and Choices

Where applicable under your local laws, you may have rights to:

  • Access information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@coderender.app. We will respond consistent with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

§07

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Communications between your browser or the Figma plugin and our service are protected in transit using HTTPS.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and any access keys confidential. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@coderender.app.

§08

International Data Transfers

CodeRender is processed using United States-based cloud providers. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

§09

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small amount of browser storage to operate the service:

  • Authentication storage — managed by our authentication provider and used to keep you signed in to the web application.
  • Theme preference — a coderender-theme entry in your browser's local storage that remembers your light/dark choice.
  • Work-in-progress restore — temporary entries in your browser's session storage (cr-pending-html, cr-pending-prompt, cr-generate-session, cr-pending-checkout, cr-checkout-origin) that preserve HTML you pasted, a prompt you typed, designs you generated, or an upgrade you started if you sign in or check out mid-task. They never leave your browser and are cleared when restored, replaced, or when the tab closes.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. You can clear your browser storage at any time using your browser settings; this may sign you out and reset preferences.

§10

Children's Privacy

CodeRender is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

§11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice through the service.
